Located on the historic Silverado Trail in the heart of Napa Valley, Black Stallion Estate Winery pays homage to the rich history of the 32-acre estate. The estate was once home to the Silverado Horseman’s Center dating back to the 1950’s with ambling riding trails, stables and the area’s only indoor arena. The property was purchased in 2010 by the Indelicato family, a fourth generation family-owned winery founded in 1924. The winery sources from the most prestigious vineyards with a commitment to making the most expressive wines possible.
Black Stallion Estate Winery showcases the best of Napa Valley’s diverse winegrowing appellations. We carefully select grapes from a multitude of vineyards, individual vineyard blocks and often rows within a block. By combining the strengths of each lot, vineyard and appellation, our Winemaker crafts world-class wines, brimming with stunning aromatics and rich flavors with gracious mouth filling textures. Each wine reflects Napa Valley finesse and harmony.
Black Stallion Estate Wines are also highly rated with 6 + 90 Point scores from Decanter in past 3 years including 95 Points Outstanding for the Black Stallion 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. On Nov 15th 2017, Black Stallion Estate Winery received the honor of USA Wine Producer of the Year at the International Wine & Spirits Competition Annual Awards Banquet at the historic City of London Guildhall, with the winery’s flagship wine, the 2013 Transcendent Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, earning Gold Outstanding honors.
“Black Stallion Estate Winery is our flagship winery, and Transcendent is the culmination of our family’s goal to craft a legendary Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley,” said Chris Indelicato, CEO and president of Delicato Family Vineyards. “The awards for Black Stallion Estate Winery, and the wines we produce there, exemplify our commitment to excellence year after year.”
