Mongeard Mugneret is renowned for sturdy wines with immense concentration. In the words of Robert Parker, ‘the style of wine making seems to extract rich, supple, concentrated fruit from the grapes… The wines always seem to show well young, but age nicely for 10-15 years.’ We will taste through a great parcel of these modern classics.
There is no arguing with a track record like theirs, and 2012 serves as another stellar example of why we are big fans of Mongeard Mugneret. We will finish off the tasting with a 2002 Clos Vougeot grand cru to see how these stunning wines will age.
