Wines from China achieved 156 medals, including one Platinum and four Golds, in the 2021 Decanter World Wine Awards, a significant improvement from last year's medal haul. Notably, a Chinese dry white wine from Beijing won a Platinum medal for the first time.

Rose petal, lily and stone fruit nose and a simple green apple flavour. Modest complexity with a medium finish.
An opulent style with striking stone fruit, toast, apple and vanilla aromatics. The palate is fresh and reasonably concentrated. Medium length.
Scents of creamy oak and dark cherry. Lots of toasty spice, dark chocolate and coffee in the mouth, plus soft tannins and decent concentration.
Perfumed and powerful with notes of plum, raspberry, cherry, clove and a touch of cedar, plus fine-grained tannins. Good development potential.
Rich animal and mint nose. Plenty of red fruits and cassis unfold in the mouth with structured tannins and ripe dark fruits. Bravo.
Striking blueberry, cassis, cocoa and creamy oak nose. The ripe palate brings well-rounded tannins, crunchy red fruits. Bravo!

Cocoa and dried fruit scents; then the mouth is thick and glossy with quite a lot of oak and notes of jelly baby and fruit pastilles.

A big and generous example with a powerful blackberry and spice bouquet, rich texture on the palate, then chalky tannins and firm acidity.
