Wines from China achieved 156 medals, including one Platinum and four Golds, in the 2021 Decanter World Wine Awards, a significant improvement from last year's medal haul. Notably, a Chinese dry white wine from Beijing won a Platinum medal for the first time.

Earthy nose with mint and garrigue herbal interest. Plenty of ripe and assertive black fruits, good grip and reasonable tannin. A lovely show!
Peach, violet, blueberry and mint nose. The palate is dry and fresh with well-integrated, fine tannins and notes of vanilla, cherry and coconut.
Creamy new oak, ripe black fruit and minty aromatics; the palate is polished, shiny, bright and very ripe. Long, cedar-spice finish.
Bright black fruit nose with hints of cedar and lavender. Rich bramble and chocolate flavours with soft tannins and a medium finish.
Elegant oak spice, sweet vanilla, dark chocolate and liquorice aromatics. Pretty in the mouth with lively acidity and fine-grained tannins.
Very nicely made, this is a lovely expression of Petit Verdot with notes of vanilla, clove, cedar, red and black fruit, plus flashes of vanilla and chocolate.
Something of a heavyweight with generous notes of soya, blueberry, clove, jammy dark fruits, firm tannins and moderate acidity. Long, creamy finish.

Lovely floral, blue/black fruit aromatics. At 6 years old it still feels fresh and youthful; very much able to develop and progress. Good effort.
Wonderful cassis and herbaceous nose. There's excellent structural balance and firm acidity. This is still embryonic but holds promise for future development.
Some evolving notes here with dried fruits, vanilla and cedar. Finishes fairly lengthily with fine-grained tannins. Quite charming.

Treacle, spice and vanilla nose; the palate then brings tightly-packed tannins, dark fruit and generous alcohol. Food please.
